Pastor Dan Schneider was born in our state's capital, Madison, Wisconsin on September 29,1955. He grew up in the Milwaukee metro area and in Madison, was confirmed at Hales Corners Lutheran Church and graduated from Martin Luther High School in Greendale where he met his future wife.
He continued his education, graduating from Concordia Teacher's College in River Forest, Illinois in 1977 with a degree in elementary education. Preparation for the ministry was completed at Concordia Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after serving a vicarage in Flint, Michigan and in Hamill, South Dakota.
Following graduation and ordination in June of 1980, he served Immanuel, Auroraville, and Trinity, Borth, rural congregations in Waushara County, WI. He also has served Divine Savior Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac, WI, and St. John's Lutheran Church in Glendale, WI. He was installed as Immanuel's pastor on March 19th, 2000.
His wife, Jeri Lynn, is a Lutheran teacher and is currently on the staff at Immanuel, teaching 4th grade. They have four children - Jessica, Joshua, Peter and Matthew.

Rev. Benjamin Squires, Associate Pastor Rev. Benjamin squires was installed as Immanuel’s Associate pastor on December 9, 2007. He was born in Minneapolis, MN, and grew up in the suburb of Bloomington. His wife, Susan, is from Louisville, Kentucky. They met while at Northwestern University where he got a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech with a major in Radio/TV/Film, graduating in 1995. From there, he went to Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Ben and Susan were married in 1996 after Susan completed her Bachelors in English. Ben served his vicarage in Dublin, California, a suburb outside of San Francisco/Oakland. He then graduated in 2000 and was ordained and installed as Associate Pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, WI. He especially was responsible for youth, education, and family ministry while developing a lot of contacts with the community. During their time in Manitowoc, Susan completed a Masters degree in English Literature at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. The Squires have three boys, Samuel (3½), Jude (1½), and Owen (6 months).
Ben and Susan enjoy camping and backpacking and look forward to doing more outdoor adventures as the boys get older. Susan enjoys reading, cooking, and movies. Ben loves music—especially rock ‘n’ roll—and writes a music review Website connecting popular music with the Christian faith.
Ben’s parents, Chuck and Pat, and his grandma, Mary, live in Bloomington. His younger sister, Jennifer, is married to Brian. They have one daughter, Audrey, and live in Farmington, a suburb of Minneapolis. Susan’s parents, Price and Sam, live in Louisville, Kentucky. Her older sister, Kimberley, and husband Wayne, plus three children, Charles, Mary Cathryn, and Elaine, live in Atlanta, Georgia. Susan’s older brother, Jamie, and his fiancée, Elisabeth, live in Madison.

Lisa Jaeger, Director of Assimilation and Deployment Lisa (Grabowski) Jaeger was born May 13, 1980 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Raised in Waukesha and Delafield, Lisa attended Waukesha Public Schools and later Brookfield Academy (from 8th-12th grades). After high school graduation, Lisa pursued a bachelor’s degree in Print Journalism with a Spanish minor at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. During her college years, she did internships at Lake Country Publications in Hartland (as a newspaper reporter), and at Fancy Publications in California (as a magazine editor). She also spent a semester studying abroad in England. Later, after some substitute teaching, Lisa decided to earn her teaching certification, a two-year program, through Carroll College. Lisa taught English for the past three years at Wauwatosa West High School.
Lisa grew up attending Elmbrook Church, and has been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since Dec. 2002. She and her husband, Brian, were married at Immanuel in June 2003. (Brian transferred his membership from Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Dec. 2002.) This will mark Lisa’s fourth fall leading a Christ Care group. She has also been a singer in the Contemporary Band for the past few years.
As the Director of Assimilation and Deployment, Lisa will be both New Member Facilitator and Volunteer Coordinator. She will use her teaching ability to lead the PLACE class to help Immanuel members identify and utilize their spiritual gifts and abilities. Lisa’s writing skills will come in handy to compose articles for the bulletin and Messenger regarding new member news, upcoming ministry events, ministry highlights, etc. Lisa will keep the Catalog of Ministries updated, and is currently planning on transferring these updates to the web. Further, Lisa is organizing a Ministry Fair and other opportunities for ministry recognition and recruitment.
Currently, Lisa lives in Milwaukee with Brian, their daughter, Helena, who is just about to turn one, and their dog, Bandit. Brian teaches English at Menomonee Falls High School.
