ChristCare is a small group ministry that integrates four vital components of the Christian life: Bible study, prayer and worship, community building, and mission service. Each ChristCare group spends time on each of these components in their meetings, which typically occur twice a month. Each group has a different emphasis in each area, yet all are connected through Christ.
Here at Immanuel, groups have been involved in a wide variety of missions: from ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas time, to building a wheelchair ramp for a man moving into a group home, to supporting Somalian refugees, to making and delivering meals to shut-ins or to those who are home-bound due to an illness, and many, many others! These groups desire to show Christ’s love to others through words and actions, and also to build one another up through His Word and through praying for and caring for one another.
